For Christians pursuing bold challenges, creative expression, and eternal impact without making achievement their identity.
You want something worth pursuing.
A challenge that calls your strength forward.
Something original you cannot stop imagining.
Something worth building that can serve people beyond you.
You want to use what God gave you. Live courageously. Grow. Create. Contribute. Experience the satisfaction of doing difficult things well.
But bold dreams meet real terrain.
Sometimes you struggle to turn desire into consistent action. You plan, start, stall, restart, scatter your attention, lose momentum, or pull back when the finish gets close.
Other times, you finish.
You achieve something difficult.
And instead of receiving the finish, you immediately start looking for a bigger mountain because achievement did not give you what you expected it to.
Faithful Finisher explores how Christians can pursue meaningful things boldly while keeping identity, ambition, achievement, and meaning anchored in Christ.
Everything we explore fits into three parts of the journey:
BECOME
Start with WHO.
Know God. Receive your identity in Christ. Respect how He designed you. Examine your desires, motives, strengths, fears, and beliefs.
The dream does not determine your worth.
But the pursuit can reveal who you are practicing becoming.
LIVE
Live Your Story.
Challenge yourself.
Create what only you can create.
Build what can serve beyond you.
Dream. Act. Explore. Train. Risk wisely. Adapt when the terrain changes. Enjoy people. Do difficult work. Get offline and actually live something worth remembering.
You are not a spectator in your own story.
FINISH
WIN Your Race.
Stay engaged through the middle miles.
Recognize your Fade Patterns.
Finish what is yours to finish.
Release what is not.
Receive success without worshiping it. Learn from failure without becoming defined by it. Reap the growth, wisdom, story, and evidence of God's faithfulness before racing toward the next marker.
Because winning is bigger than getting the outcome you wanted.
WIN means walking with God in authentic community, now and forever.
That is the race underneath every race.
And every challenge, creation, business, ministry, book, mountain, project, and finish gives us another place to practice for eternity.
So underneath every episode is one question:
Am I faithfully running the race God has actually given me?
No hype.
No manifesting.
No Christianized hustle.
Just biblical truth, practical tools, and real stories from the trail for Christians who want to live courageously, work faithfully, and finish without asking achievement to tell them who they are.
Become. Live. Finish.
Start with WHO. Live Your Story. WIN Your Race.

I was halfway through building the Faithful Finisher Diagnostic when I caught myself saying, “I’ve gotten nowhere.” Except I hadn’t. I was in the middle.
And the middle is dangerous because all you can see is what still isn’t finished.
In this episode, we talk about how to stop confusing unfinished with failure, read the trail accurately, and find the next faithful marker when the summit still feels far away. Because sometimes the clearest evidence that the work “isn’t working” is simply that you haven’t finished it yet.

There’s something satisfying about cutting down a wall of kudzu with a bushwhacker. Until you realize the root is still alive.
That afternoon in the yard made me think about the places we keep fading in our own lives: the project we keep redesigning, the workout we keep skipping, the dream we keep almost finishing. What if the visible behavior is only the weed?
In this episode, we go underneath the pattern and ask a harder question: what am I believing, fearing, wanting, or protecting when I stop moving? Then we bring it into the light of Scripture and decide what faithfulness actually requires next.
Because sometimes the answer is to press on. Sometimes it is to adapt. Sometimes it is to release. But fear, ego, and achievement should not get to make that decision for us.

I’ve tried to build a podcast before. More than once.
For a long time, I thought consistency was the problem. I needed a better schedule. Better topics. More discipline.
But I finally realized I was building a microphone before I built a trail.
I knew I had things to say, so I kept trying to figure out what I was qualified to talk about. I’m an author. I’ve built a publishing company. Writing made sense.
But the questions I can’t stop thinking about go deeper than writing.
Why do we know what matters and still struggle to do it? Why can we faithfully show up for everybody else while abandoning the work God has put on our hearts? Why do we start, stop, hide, overwork, succeed, and still wonder what we’re missing?
Those are the questions I want to explore with you.
So The Adventurous Author is becoming Faithful Finisher.
I’m still an adventurous author. I’ve just finally found the bigger trail I’ve been trying to follow all along.
If you’re somewhere in those middle miles between the dream and done, come with me.
Let’s learn how to finish faithfully.

Nobody warns you about the middle miles.
The beginning is exciting. The dream feels alive. You can see where you’re going.
Then somewhere along the trail, the excitement wears off.
You start questioning yourself. Questioning the route. Maybe even questioning whether God really called you to this in the first place.
I know that territory.
I also know what it’s like to keep starting new things, to pull back near the finish line, and to accomplish something only to wonder why it didn’t feel the way I thought it would.
That’s why I created Faithful Finisher.
This podcast is for Christian dreamers learning how to navigate the stretch between the dream and done.
We’ll talk about what the middle miles expose, how to discern what God has actually entrusted to you, and how to build the courage, discipline, and systems to keep moving faithfully.
Because I don’t want to spend my life chasing every dream.
I want to know my race, do the work God has given me, and finish it faithfully.
If that’s what you want too, come run with me.

We’ve reached the end of the Start Strong season.
So what did you build?
Over the past five episodes, we laid the foundation:
-
Christ anchors identity.
-
Identity shapes systems.
-
Systems refine skills.
-
Skills produce soul-satisfying fruit.
-
Soul-satisfying fruit pleases God.
That’s the Faithful Mastery Framework.
But this isn’t theory.
It’s a trail.
And now we move from learning… to training.
In this episode, we:
-
Recap the entire framework
-
Define what an Adventurous Author really is
-
Break down the three dimensions of mastery:
-
The Art of storytelling
-
The Process of storytelling
-
The Business of storytelling
-
-
Expose the difference between dabbling and training
-
And design your next 8-week quest
Because mastery isn’t accidental.
It’s trained.
And writers who train finish.
If you’re ready to stop training alone, the League of Adventurous Authors is open. We train weekly. We hit targets. We build identity evidence together.
Next episode: We begin Stay Strong — building the lifestyle systems that make mastery inevitable.
The foundation is set.
Now we build.

Failure doesn’t scare me.
Success does.
The visibility.
The money.
The fear that if your work actually matters… you might lose yourself.
In this episode, we finish the Faithful Mastery Cascade:
-
Christ anchors identity.
-
Identity shapes systems.
-
Systems refine skills.
-
Skills produce soul-satisfying fruit.
-
And soul-satisfying fruit pleases God.
We talk about:
-
Why hiding isn’t humility
-
Why success doesn’t have to corrupt you
-
How pleasing God reframes ambition
-
Why stewardship is different than ego
-
And how to pursue mastery without fear.
If you’ve ever sabotaged your own growth because visibility felt dangerous… this episode is for you.

You’re showing up.
Practicing.
Writing.
Learning.
Pushing through resistance.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, a question surfaces:
Is this worth it?
In this episode, we answer that question.
We explore the three kinds of fruit your writing produces:
-
Internal fruit — fulfillment, significance, belonging
-
Character fruit — discipline, courage, faithfulness
-
Physical fruit — stories, reach, and money
Money isn’t identity.
Rank isn’t worth.
But visible fruit is a signal that your work is reaching people.
We also talk honestly about the fear of visibility, the fear of success, and what it means to steward income without worshiping it.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your effort matters—this episode is for you.
🎒 Includes a 15-minute Adventure Writing Challenge.

Why soul-satisfying fruit pleases God—and how that truth protects your heart as your work grows.

This episode is about why wanting to get better isn’t enough and why skill growth feels so frustrating without the right structure.
If you’ve ever thought:
- “I just need more craft”
- “I need to practice more, but I can’t seem to stay consistent”
- “Why am I not improving the way I expected?”
This episode explains what’s actually missing:
Skills don’t grow in chaos. They grow inside systems.
In this episode, we explore:
- what it really means for systems to refine skills
- why repetition matters more than raw talent
- why 15 minutes a day beats sporadic bursts of effort
- how identity-aligned systems give your skills a place to grow
We also talk about:
- the three WHO’s at the heart of storytelling (you, your reader, your characters)
- why process is a skill most writers ignore
- how steady practice builds confidence without burning you out
And then I give you a 15-minute Adventure Writing Challenge that drops you straight into a high-stakes scene—where training, repetition, and instinct collide.
If you’re tired of starting over…
If you want your writing to feel stronger, clearer, and more confident…
If you’re ready to stop dabbling and start training…
This episode is for you.
🎒 Next episode: How skills produce soul-satisfying fruit—and why faithfulness, not hustle, is the goal.
